Well, in my last post I was excited about various washcloth that I knitted for friends and relatives. Even my mother-in-law was happy (wink-wink). Hello, my fellow knitters and yarn collectors! Today I will review a self-striping Wool Cord Light Camel Beige yarn from IceYarns. It is one of my favorite sites to order yarn from but it seems that at the beginning of the year that increased their shipping cost and ordering from there got a bit pricier... The yarn has 50 g per skein/ball I bought this yarn because I like to knit with wool, especially in winter as somehow it makes me feel warmer :) But also because right now I like experimenting with different sock designs. The acrylic component of this yarn is what makes it non-itchy (like 100% wool yarn might be) and also stronger. You can even machine wash it in a gentle cycle, but NEVER dry in a dryer! The yarn was a lot of fun to work with! It is thin if knitted with just one thread. But I like to knit fast! Plus, wool socks always feel 100 warmer if they are nice and thick! Exciting colorful yarn from Ice Yarn Paradize or HobiumYarns: Sparkle Color

I have to say - sparkling of this yarn if what attracted me in the first place. I first found just one skein on sale on Amazon. It looked sparkly and with some interesting texture. I was thinking that I can include one of my colorful rugs. However, when I got it, it seems too scratchy. But then my mom was complaining that her washcloth was not scrubby enough. To test waters, I first knitted the little semi-glove like looking washcloth for my face out of that seemingly scratchy yarn. I picked purple one-color yarn because I LOVE purple! It worked well. It provided me with nice exfoliation, felt like a massage, made my skin feel softer, and dried really fast! After several uses, it was still sparkly! "So, it passed the test", - I thought, "- and I can offer something like this to my mom". Then I made a longer washcloth/loofah for my back with handles. It worked like a miracle.
